Please note that, due to the traffic restrictions usually in place on the day of the Barcolana Regatta, it is generally possible to drive from the city centre and the seafront up to the hillside areas, but not in the opposite direction (for example, from the Carso upland down to our house). In that case, it may help to explain to any local officer that You are only going as far as number 421 of Strada del Friuli, without continuing down to the city centre or the seafront.
